Reception Teacher (mid year intake)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher to join the team at Holy Family Catholic School! As a teacher, you will:

  • Be an energetic, positive, dynamic educator who is committed to engaging in professional dialogue and working collaboratively within a flexible learning environment.
  • Tailor your teaching approach to meet the unique needs and learning styles of your students to encourage active partiicpation and student growth.
  • Develop targeted strategies for implementing specific positive behaviours aimed at increasing student engagement.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative and supportive professional relationships with staff, students, and families.
  • Establish consistent routines to achieve a productive learning environment
  • Design, plan and deliver high-quality teaching that aligns with the Australian curriculum and educational standards.
  • Assess, record and report learner achievement using required programs and systems.

If the successful applicant is available, they will have the opportunity be an important part of the transition program in Term 2.  We’re looking for someone with:

  • Current Teacher Registration for South Australia
  • Current Working with Children Check 
  • Approved Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) 
  • Current Provide first aid in an education & care setting (HLTAID012) certificate

Qualified OSHC Worker

Permanent and Casual positions available

Come join our team!  We are seeking OSHC Educators to support the OSHC team at Holy Family Catholic School in the provision of quality OSHC services. The Educator will be responsible for assisting the OSHC service to lead a balanced and engaging learning environment which is centred upon the needs of the children and outlined in the National Quality Standards.

Employment Conditions and Benefits:

Holy Family Catholic School provides a supportive, inclusive and stimulating work environment, with access to outstanding facilities and resources to enable excellence. The employment terms and conditions are governed by the South Australian Catholic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2020.

The casual hourly rate for this position starts at $43.977 per hour in accordance with the South Australian Catholic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2020.

Hours of work during term time will vary across a weekly roster depending on ratio requirements. Shifts will be a minimum of 2 hours.

During school term breaks (Vacation Care) hours will be negotiated with the OSHC Director to reflect the needs of the Vacation Care Program.

Professional Requirements

– Diploma in Education/Child Care, or OSHC services or equivalent (eg: completed a minimum of 2 years of a Bachelor of Education)

– Current First Aid HLTAID012 (includes CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management certifications)

– A current Working With Children’s Check (WWCC)

– Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education & Care (RRHAN-EC).
